Hi, I’m a husband and proud dad, and family is at the center of who I am. My upbringing as the son of Salvadoran immigrants also gives me a deep understanding of the challenges families face when building a new life here in the U.S. That perspective guides both my work as a therapist and the immigration evaluations I provide.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, Texas, Virginia, Utah, Connecticut, and New Jersey. My practice, Arise Connections Counseling, is a registered entity in Texas, where I’m based.

I've been in the mental health field since 2015 working with diverse populations. Through counseling, I specialize in supporting men—especially new fathers—who struggle with depression, grief, and trauma. I believe in keeping things simple, down-to-earth, and action-oriented so that men feel understood and supported.

My therapeutic approach is Solution-Focused, which emphasizes embracing a client's existing resources and defining their desired outcome. I use this approach to help clients take practical steps toward change, build on what is already working, and envision the possibilities for their lives moving forward. I also integrate insights from other modalities such as attachment theory, recognizing the powerful role caregivers/parents play in shaping psychosocial functioning across a person's lifespan.

In addition to therapy, I provide professional immigration evaluations for hardship, asylum, and other types of cases. I’ve completed specialized training with the Immigration Evaluation Institute and other courses to ensure my reports are thorough. For many, an evaluation is more than just paperwork—it’s a way to advocate for themselves and create the possibility of a new beginning.

Whether it’s through therapy or immigration evaluations, my goal is the same: to offer empathetic support and a safe space where people can feel respected, and seen. My goal is highlight each client’s strengths and unique story in my clinical work.
